Engineering Student Fatally Shot by Partner's Father

In a harrowing turn of events, a 25-year-old engineering student met a tragic end after allegedly being shot dead by the father of his romantic partner. According to police reports, the victim, identified as Vipul, was fatally shot in a flat located in the Crossing Republic area around 3:30 am on Friday.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rural) Vivek Chandra Yadav disclosed, "The victim was allegedly in a relationship with the daughter of the accused." The altercation ensued when the accused, identified as Singh, confronted Vipul in the flat during the night. The confrontation quickly escalated, culminating in Singh firing five fatal shots at Vipul. Singh's opposition to Vipul's relationship with his daughter allegedly fueled the fatal altercation, leaving Vipul's life tragically cut short.

The grim incident adds to a string of recent violent episodes involving relationships turning deadly. Just the day before, a woman was reportedly shot dead in the Jahangirpuri area of northwest Delhi, allegedly by a minor boy who was romantically involved with the deceased's daughter. Police efforts are underway to apprehend the minor, with teams mobilized for his capture.

As authorities conduct investigations and the victims' bodies undergo post-mortem examinations, these incidents serve as stark reminders of the alarming consequences that can result from conflicts arising from romantic relationships.
