A fatal accident occurred at Arla, Keri on Sunday, claiming the life of a young individual. The news came in at 03:00 hrs when the 108 Ambulance service received a call, alerting them about the incident.
According to reports, the victim, identified as Rachat, son of Ramchandra Satarkar, a resident of H.no.303 Talewada Adkona Banastari in Ponda, Goa, met with the accident while riding his scooter, bearing registration number GA 05 N 9643. The mishap transpired when Rachat, aged 27, was enroute from Margao to visit his relatives in Arla, Keri.
The accident site, near Apteshwar Nagar, Satode, Keri, revealed that Rachat's scooter collided with an electricity pole situated on the left side of the road. The impact resulted in severe head injuries, ultimately leading to his untimely demise.
Upon receiving the distress call, the Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) Rashmi, accompanied by her team, promptly rushed to the scene to investigate the matter further.
The deceased's body was swiftly transported to the South District Hospital in Margao for preservation, as confirmed by the attending medical personnel from the 108 Ambulance service. A post-mortem examination will be held to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Rachat, who recently graduated from PTS Valpoi on 26/04/2024, leaves behind a grieving family and friends, shocked by the sudden tragedy. The local authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
