The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee has lodged a formal complaint against Power Minister Sudin Dhavlikar for allegedly breaching the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) during his interaction with the media at a polling station in the 23 Marcaim constituency.
The complaint, addressed to the Chief Electoral Officer of Goa, highlights a specific incident wherein Minister Sudin Dhavlikar purportedly made statements favouring South Goa BJP candidate, Pallavi Dempo, which could potentially influence voters to favour her. This act, according to the complaint, is a blatant violation of the MCC, which aims to ensure a level playing field for all candidates during elections.
The complaint urges the electoral authorities to take swift and appropriate action against Minister Sudin Dhavlikar in accordance with the law. It also includes a link to the media coverage capturing the alleged violation by the Minister.
