The All India Football Federation’s Beach Soccer Committee has announced that Goa will host the upcoming Beach Soccer National Championship, marking a significant milestone for the sport in India.

Chaired by Ganapati Palguna, the Committee convened on Monday, March 4, 2024, with key members including Acting Secretary General M. Satyanarayan, Deputy Chairperson Jignesh Patil, and esteemed members S. Dhanasegar, K. Nizamuddin, Sanjay Meshack, and Upen Patel.

Applauding the Goa Football Association's dedication to hosting the championship, the Committee expressed gratitude for their commitment to promoting Beach Soccer.

In response to requests from various Member Associations seeking assistance in procuring Beach Soccer equipment, the Committee proposed allocating a portion of the Federation's budget to support State Football Associations in acquiring the necessary gear. Additionally, funds will be allocated for nationwide referee and coach training to bolster understanding and promotion of Beach Soccer.

Encouraging grassroots development, the Committee urged coastal states to organize their own Beach Soccer competitions, aiming to foster greater participation and awareness of the sport nationwide.

These decisions underscore a proactive approach to advancing Beach Soccer in India, with the forthcoming National Championship in Goa poised to spotlight the country's evolving prowess in this discipline.
