Goan social activists have shown their unwavering support and solidarity towards activist Advt Pratima Coutinho, who recently received a summons for a statement she made eight years ago. These activists are urging the people of Goa to stand up against what they view as tyranny and are extending their full support to Pratima in this matter.

Rama Kankonkar, a social activist, expressed that the people of Goa must unite and remove the BJP government from power, as failure to do so could result in the people of Goa taking to the streets. Kankonkar believes that by summoning Pratima, the government is attempting to suppress their voices. However, the activists emphasized that they will not be intimidated or silenced; instead, they will emerge even stronger.

Another activist, Anna Gracious, emphasized their support for Pratima Coutinho, stating that the slogan she used, "Raam naam staya," was misinterpreted and misunderstood. Gracious clarified that the slogan is meant to uphold the truth, symbolized by Lord Rama. The activists believe that the government's agenda is to suppress their voices and instill fear, but they remain undeterred.

Pratima Coutinho responded to the situation, stating that if facing such consequences is the price they have to pay for doing good for Goa, they are ready to go to jail. She reaffirmed their commitment to protect Goa and preserve democracy, stating that their agitation will continue. Coutinho also suggested that the BJP government is resorting to such actions out of fear of losing the upcoming elections, as their message is resonating with the common people.
