Nathan Joseph Mendes, also known as Tsumyoki, a hip-hop artist hailing from Margao, Goa has earned a coveted nomination for the upcoming MTV European Music Awards (EMAs), scheduled to be this November. Tsumyoki is recognized for his distinctive musical talent and contributions to the hip-hop genre.

Tsumyoki is among the nominees for the Best India Act category at the MTV European Music Awards (EMAs), which will be held in Paris. This category also features prominent artists like rapper DIVINE, pop singer-songwriter Mali, indie-folk band When Chai Met Toast and Gand rapper Dee MC. The MTV EMAs, with its global reach, will announce the winners on November 5th, broadcasting the event live on MTV in over 150 countries.

Tsumyoki, an Indian rapper, singer-songwriter, and record producer, has gained recognition through various releases, including the single track "White Tee" in 2019, the "Daboij" album in 2021, and his debut EP titled "Way Too Messy" in 2021, which featured a collaboration with fellow Goan rapper Kidd Mange. Additionally, his track "Pink Blue" in 2022, featuring Bharg, further solidified his presence in the music scene. Tsumyoki's stage name embodies qualities such as vision, productivity, and a positive mindset.

Notably, Mendes has been a trailblazer in the English hip-hop music scene in Goa, revolutionizing the genre within the coastal state of India. His accomplishments include being the first Goan music artist and, at just 19 years old, the youngest member to sign with DIVINE's record label, Gully Gang Records, in 2021. His influence extends beyond music, as he was featured in Goan Insider's list of the "50 Most Influential People of 2021."
