Highly Charged Confrontation Between Suchana Shet and Estranged Husband at Calangute Police Station

In a highly charged and emotionally intense encounter, Suchana Seth, the CEO of Bengaluru-based artificial intelligence start-up Mindful AI Lab, faced a confrontation with her estranged husband, PR Venkat Raman, at the Calangute police station. The meeting, facilitated by Goa Police, unfolded against the backdrop of serious allegations surrounding the murder of their four-year-old son.

The estranged couple, currently undergoing divorce proceedings, engaged in what the police described as a "blame game" during their face-to-face meeting, which lasted approximately 20 minutes. Venkat Raman, grappling with profound grief and anguish, questioned Suchana Seth about the alleged killing of their child. According to police statements, Seth vehemently denied any involvement, asserting that she had not committed the crime.

Seth's denial to Raman mirrors the statements she provided to the Goa Police, where she claimed to have fallen asleep while her son was alive and discovered him dead upon waking up at a service apartment in Goa. The unfolding narrative has cast a pall of tragedy and suspicion over the family, leaving authorities and the public grappling with the complexities of the case.

Following the recording of Venkat Raman’s statement by Calangute Police on Saturday evening, Raman's advocate, Azhar Mir, addressed the media, shedding light on the emotional toll the events have taken on his client. Mir expressed that Raman is emotionally devastated and numb in the aftermath of the discovery of his son's lifeless body in a bag in Chitradurga, Karnataka, last Monday.

“You cannot even imagine the grief he’s going through. His wife is in jail, his son is no more; what justice can he expect? What happens after this does not really matter to him anymore. There is no justice for Venkat now. There is no justice for Chinmay (the deceased son) now. I hope justice means there is peace,” stated the advocate.
