Panjim: In a startling incident, an Innova taxi was engulfed in flames and reduced to ashes at Cansa Thivim, the conflagration occurring at 12:30 am on the 2nd of October. The vehicle's driver sustained injuries during the unfortunate event.
Swift action was taken by the Mapusa Fire Team, led by Fire Official Shahid Khan, who mobilized his team of firefighters. Among them were L driver operator Nitin Chodankar, firefighter B R Palani, Tajas, and Chandrakant. Their prompt response and coordinated efforts ensured the fire was swiftly extinguished, preventing further damage and potential harm. Authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze, while the injured driver is receiving medical attention.
