Several people escaped unhurt in a collision involving multiple vehicles on the National Highway at Copperwada, Curti. Four vehicles- two buses and two private cars- rear-ended each other at the narrow median gap on the highway, and one of the vehicles, a small hatchback, was trapped in between the three other vehicles. The other three vehicles – A Karnataka registered bus full of passengers, a local passenger bus and a minivan - were also damaged, but all their occupants emerged unhurt.
According to the police, the minivan, an SUV, was taking a turn at the narrow median gap when another car following it rear-ended it. Immediately, the Karnataka bus rammed into the car, and the local passenger bus dashed the Karnataka bus from behind. The pile-up occurred in a few seconds, and the Car bore the brunt of the impact as it was pressed in between the minivan and the two buses.
