Margao residents stage protest at Railway Station against parking fee; Term it as loot of the common men

Residents of Margao along with activists staged a fervent protest at Margao Railway Station, denouncing the exploitation of the common man through exorbitant parking fees. The residents voiced their vehement opposition against outrageous parking fees, and termed it as 'loot of the common man'.

The protestors passionately articulated the hardships faced by commuters and demanded immediate relief for the common folk and stricter regulations on fee collection.

In response to the public outcry, the railway authorities intervened, issuing stringent directives to the parking fee collection contractor. As an interim measure, the authorities have mandated that no fees should be charged for the initial ten minutes of parking until the entire system undergoes a comprehensive update.
