In a shocking turn of events, a massive fire erupted at Mapusa Morod, causing chaos and fear among the local community. The fire, suspected to be a result of foul play, spread rapidly and engulfed the area surrounding the Bodgeshwar temple. Despite the valiant efforts of fire personnel, the fire continued to rage, fueled by the dry grass and scorching hot sun.
The blaze began at Mapusa yard and quickly spread to Morod Mapusa sub-registrar, covering a vast area of 2 to 3 thousand square meters. The challenging environmental conditions and high intensity of the fire posed numerous obstacles for the firefighters as they struggled to control the inferno. The authorities worked tirelessly for hours on end, trying to bring the situation under control and prevent further damage to the surrounding areas. Despite their best efforts, the flames continued to rage, causing widespread destruction.
The incident has left the residents of the nearby areas in shock and fear, with many seen struggling to put out the fire on their own. The thick smoke and intense heat have made it challenging for people to even approach the site, let alone extinguish the fire. Local residents blame the authorities, for the lack of safety measures and protocols in place to prevent such emergencies. Residents also said that the Municipality should not allow any migrants to stay in this open area and relocate them to safer places.
