The Public Works Department issued a notice informing that there will be an emergency shutdown of the water supply system in Mayem and Bicholim constituencies on 02th May 2024 from 12:00 AM to 05:00 PM. The water outage will prevail for 17 hours straight.
This shutdown is necessary to conduct urgent repair work on a failed main valve (350mm) on the distribution main supplying potable water to the Mayem constituency.
During this period, there will be restricted water supply to the entire Mayem and Bicholim constituencies. It is advisable for all residents falling under these constituencies to bear with the inconvenience and use water wisely.
