In a shocking incident a minor rape survivor met a tragic demise allegedly at the hands of the man who assaulted her, alongside his aides. The gruesome incident occurred on Monday evening, resulting in the loss of the young survivor's life near a village under Mahewaghat police station in Kaushambi district.
Superintendent of Police Brajesh Kumar Srivastava revealed that preliminary investigations suggested the accused’s brother was responsible for the brutal murder. However, the family of the deceased asserted that the accused himself was also involved. In response, multiple police teams have been mobilized to apprehend the culprits, as confirmed by Srivastava.
The accused, residing in the same village as the victim, had recently been released on bail after being detained. An FIR had been filed against him several months ago, based on the survivor's complaint. Allegations emerged from the girl’s relatives, accusing the accused and his family of pressuring them to settle for a compromise.
Reportedly, at approximately 5:30 pm on Monday, the accused, along with his brother and associates, pursued the girl outside the village while she was returning from the fields. Tragically, they violently murdered her using an axe. The police have sent the victim's body for autopsy to gather further evidence.
