Two youths trying to steal a scooter late at night at Vasco failed miserably, prompting them to leave the premises with no catch. However, their act was caught in the CCTV surveillance installed at the society.
On Tuesday late night, two thieves tried to steal a scooter which was parked in the parking lot of the Chambers situated on Swatantra's path at Vasco. The thieves were seen climbing over the common wall between the building and MMC's children's park and walking towards the scooter and upon scanning the area they made their move to start the scooter.
As they were making their exit with the scooter, one resident shows up on his scooter. Scared, the thieves calmly turned the scooter parked it on the original spot and walked away before the resident could realize what happened at that midnight hour. The entire act was captured on the society-installed CCTV camera.
As per locals, such incidents occur frequently during nighttime. Residents have always complained that the children's park which is mostly dark is a den of nefarious activities and no action has been instigated yet by the authorities.
