Panjim's National Museum of Customs & GST Receives False Bomb Threat

Goa Police's Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) conducted a thorough search at the National Museum of Customs and GST in Panjim following a menacing email received by numerous museums nationwide. The email received at 4:40 am on Friday, January 5th, warned of explosives hidden within the Museum premises. Museum authorities reported the threat to Panjim police, who conducted a comprehensive search by the BDS. Fortunately, no suspicious items were found during the inspection, leading to the museum's reopening. 

"We immediately approached Panajim police station with a complaint, following which the bomb disposal squad was called in, and the museum was checked for suspicious objects, The email was also sent to IDs of museums across India, " a museum official said.

Details emerged revealing that multiple museum facilities received identical threatening emails. Panjim police have initiated an investigation to trace the origin of the hoax email, aiming to identify and apprehend the sender responsible for the nationwide disruption.
