Short Circuit Sparks House Fire in Camurlim; FES Saves Property w/Rs 5 Lakh; Owner Claims Loss of Rs 1 Lakh

A residence in Camurlim was engulfed in flames on Monday due to a short circuit in the kitchen. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. However, the homeowner expressed distress, claiming a loss of approximately Rs 1 lakh.

Prompt action by the Mapusa fire brigade prevented further devastation. Within minutes, firefighters from the Mapusa Fire Department arrived at the scene and battled the blaze, successfully extinguishing it before it could spread to neighboring properties.

The fire broke out in the early hours of the morning, sending plumes of smoke billowing into the sky. Residents quickly alerted emergency services as flames ravaged the structure. Despite their efforts, the property sustained significant damage, estimated at around Rs 5 lakh.

However, due to the efforts of Mapusa fire personnel, the fire was swiftly brought under control which helped save the gas cylinder blast which could have been more Sevier. 

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause of the short circuit and assess the extent of the damages. In the meantime, the affected family is receiving support from local authorities and community members as they work to recover from this unfortunate event.
