The Sub Divisional Magistrate Bardez has given five days to St Xavier’s College Mapusato decide the date for induction ceremony of the college Students’ Council. The Students Council has given an assurance that they will not be affiliated to any political party. The SDM has convened a meeting of the Students and the management of St Xavier’s college on Tuesday to resolve the issue arising out of holding a protest on college campus and non installation of the students council in the college.

North Goa collector MamuHage had on Monday sought a report from the Bardez Mamlatdar of the ABVP barging into the St Xavier’s college campus and alleged disruption of classes

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant refused to comment on the issue saying the director of higher education will handle it.
