The results of the Taleigao village panchayat elections 2024 were declared on Monday with Panjim MLA Babush Monserrate's panel sweeping Taleigao village Panchayat elections by securing all 11 seats including 4 unopposed. Ward number 1, 6, 10 and 11 stood unopposed whereas a total of 14 candidates were in the fray for seven wards.
In view of the Taleigao Village panchayat elections held on Sunday 28th April, the counting of the votes and the declaration of results were held on Monday at Bal Bhavan near Campal Panjim.
The names of the winners along with the votes are as follows:
Ward no. 1 - Siddhi Rajendra Kerkar (Unopposed)
Ward no. 2 - Agnelo Cirilo Santana Da Cunha (1403)
Ward no. 3 - Helena Antonio Pereira (751)
Ward no. 4 - Ratika Ravindra Gawas (692)
Ward no. 5 - Ushant Namdev Kankonkar (493)
Ward no. 6 – Estella Estevan D'souza (Unopposed)
Ward no. 7 – Janu Mahadev Rosario (1101)
Ward no. 8 - Maria George Fernandes (783)
Ward no. 9 - Sanjana Sandip Diukar (853)
Ward no. 10 - Sagar Ramesh Bandekar (Unopposed)
Ward no. 11 -Sydney Paulo Barreto (Unopposed)
Taleigao MLA Jeniffer Monserrate along with Panjim MLA Atanasio (Babush) Monserrate was present at the Bal Bhawan with their panel. Speaking to media, Taleigao MLA said, “We always sweep the panel because we always work hard. We have the support of the Taleigao people and I would like to thank each and every person from Taleigao who supported our candidates. The reason why they support us because we work really hard and we are always there for the people of Taleigao.”
