Two accused in the Sonali Phogat case get 14 days judicial custody

Two accused in the Sonali Phogat case were remanded to 14 days of judicial custody on Friday. They were remanded by a Mapusa JMFC court. Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh were arrested in connection with the death of BJP leader Sonali Phogat in Goa.

Sonali Phogat was brought dead at a local hospital in Goa on August 23. Phogat is alleged to have had a drug overdose. Her family has demanded a CBI probe into her death. Phogat along with her associates is alleged to have partied at Curlies Club. Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh have been accused of spiking her drink with drugs.
