Union Minister Shripad Naik, PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral support double tracking

Both Union Minister Shripad Naik and PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral expressed themselves in favour of double-tracking. They were speaking on the sidelines of the Prime Minister inaugurating 100 Percent electrification of Konkan Railway and foundation of rail and road infrastructure projects. Shripad denied that the double-tracking was being done to benefit two businessmen. It will benefit many, due to the 100% electrification of the Konkan Railway he said. The minister said Rs 150 cr would be saved on diesel, without specifying how that figure was arrived at
