Brandon wins TAPMI Titan of the Year Award

oa-based Brendon Mascarenhas, a Post-Graduate Diploma holder from TA Pai Management Institute, Manipal was awarded the TAPMI Titan of the Year Award 2019; an award given by the Titan industries to the best overall graduating student at TAPMI. 

Brendon, a resident of Porvorim, also received the Dean’s Honour Roll awarded to the 10 best students for their outstanding academy achievement spread over two years of the programme. He was ranked 4th in the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Core) stream of the total 405 students graduated from this stream.

A total of 460 students from three Post Graduate diploma streams – Post Graduate Diploma (PGDM) in Management, PGDM in Ranking and Financial Service and PGDM in Health Care Management were awarded the diplomas at the 33rd Annual Convocation held at Manipal, recently. 

Brendon outshined everyone to win the best graduating student of the year award. In total, he won six awards on the day of convocation. 

The choice of the student is based on the best overall personality in addition to the academic performance. The selection process involved a two tier electoral system among the students, staff and faculty.

Brendon said that being a part of the Student Executive Council, he was popular among the students and the faculty and this helped him win the award in future. “A special shout out to sportscom, LADC and the student Executive Council, he said. 

He also won the Vishal Chowdhary Memorial award for exceptional overall performance, holistic contribution and positive impact.  Further, he won the MV Kini award for the best student in Organisational Behaviour. 

Brendon took the opportunity to thank his parents and brother who played an instrumental role in his success. He also expressed his gratitude to his grandfather, who passed away last year when Brendon was still studying his MBA. “While he may not be here to share in this special evening, I believe his invisible hand will always guide me”, said Brendon in his speech at the convocation. 

He won the Jaspreet – Sebastian award for best student with overall personality and academic performance in the first year, winning this award r itself motivated him to work harder and do better as he wished to win it again.
