Tiatr Academy of Goa celebrated the Birth Anniversary of of Regina Fernandes, the First Lady of the Tiatr stage on  November 16 at the Conference Hall of Institute Menezes Braganza, Panjim. On this occasion, Tiatr Academy of Goa presented ‘Young Achievers Awards -2018’ to two of the young artistes of tiatr,  Antonet De Sousa and Milagres Esvin Carneiro for their valuable contribution to tiatr. The awards consisted of a memento, citation and cash purse of Rs 20,000.

The awards were presented at the hands of the chief guest,  Antonio Caetano Fernandes (Tony), MLA of St. Cruz constituency in the presence of Rosy Alvares, well known tiatr artiste specially the females.

Ms Rosy Alvares congratulated both the awardees and also TAG for promoting young tiatr artistes.

Awardee Ms Antonet De Sousa thanked TAG for recognising her work and bestowing this award upon her. She thanked all the directors of the tiatr for giving her the opportunity.The other awardee Milagres E Carneiro also thanked TAG for recognising his contribution

Gurudas P Pilarnekar, President of TAG welcomed the guest and Cezar D’mello, Member Secretary of TAG proposed a vote of thanks. The function was compered by Joy Fernandes.

After the formal function, a Konkani Musical Show was presented by Tony de Ribandar and his troupe.
