CUMBORDA CURTORIM: Agxem SC beat Damdolem SC by 3-1 to clinch the winners trophy of 4th Cumborda Sports Club football tournament organised by Cumborda Sports Club, at St. Alex Church ground, Curtorim, on Sunday.
Agxem SC took lead in the 15th minute through Elroy. Damdolem strikers tried hard to find the equaliser that eluded them.
Agxem doubled their lead through Joval with his intelligent free kick from the left flank in the 25th minute.
Crossing ends, Ryan reduced the lead for Damdolem in the 40th minute. However, Esteven made it 3-1 for Agxem which helped them emerge champions of the tournament.
Prizes were presented by chief guest Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco (Chairperson of GIDC), Guest of honour Fr Joseph Salema (Parish Priest of St Alex Church, Curtorim), Savio Fernandes (President of Curtorim Gymkhana), Caetano Hilario (Panch of Curtorim Panchayat), Mouvin Noronha (Prop N Events), and Mathias Hilario (Panch of Curtorim Panchayat).
