CARMONA: Ambelim Sports Club scored a solitary goal win over Rossman Cruz Nagoa- Verna to move into the quarter-finals of the John Cruz Ferrao Memorial Cup football tournament, organised by Carmona Sports Club,  at Village Panchayat ground, Carmona, on Wednesday. 

There was no score in the first session.

Samson Simoes scored the match-winner in the 54th minute of the second half.

Rossman Cruz Nagoa-Verna played well but Ambelim Sports Club led by defender Rayan Pinto thwarted Rossman from scoring. 

Samson Simoes of Ambelim SC was named Man-of-the-Match.

Ambelim SC will meet the winners of Arlem Youth Association and Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda in the quarter-finals.
