Betalbatim Sporting seal last-four berth

CUNCOLIM: Betalbatim Sporting Club had to wait until tie-breaker to beat Davorlim Sports Club by 5-2 (2-2) margin to book their place in the semi-finals of the Yaari Cup (South Goa) inter-village football tournament, organised by Cuncolim Union and played at Cuncolim ground, Cuncolim.

Davorlim Sports Club took the lead in the 29th minute through Abhay Shetty.

Klusner Pereira equalised for Betalbatim in the 40th minute. Betalbatim Sporting Club took the lead through Oliver D’Souza of a pass from Cliford Miranda. Mabel Miranda equalised for Davorlim Sports Club of Velington Rocha pass.

In the tie-breaker, Selio Fernandes, Klusner Pereira and Oliver D’souza found the mark for Betalbatim SC. Selio Fernandes excelled for Betalbatim Sporting Club saved all the three spot kicks of Davorlim Sports Club .
