DABOLIM: Brazil and Niger arrived at Dabolim airport on Wednesday afternoon to play their final Group D fixture at Fatorda Stadium, on Friday.

The three-time champions received a warm welcome from the Goan fans, who turned out in a decent number, at the airport to welcome the young South American lads.

Brazil have already qualified for the knock out phase of the tournament with a game in hand. Team official Gregorio revealed that his side is happy to play their final group match in Goa as they have strong links with locals here.

“There are many Brazil fans here and we need their support,” revealed Gregorio.

Brazil aren’t new the Goan condition as they had earlier participated in the BRICS tournament last year.

“The conditions here are similar to that in Brazil and this will surely help us a lot,” he added.

Their opponents— Niger —also landed at the Dabolim airport at 2.45 p.m.

Meanwhile, Team Germany and Guinea left for Kochi for their ultimate game on Wednesday afternoon.
