CURCHOREM: The Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council (CCMC) recently inaugurated their air conditioned gymnasium fitness centre and multipurpose hall at Carriamordi, Curchorem.
The premises were inaugurated by Power Minister and Curchorem MLA Nilesh Cabral.
Speaking during the inaugural ceremony, Cabral said that CCMC has taken a decision to form a committee with ward councillors having a CCMC’s official as a member secretary for the maintenance of the premises which is constructed by spending Rs.76.50 lakhs from the municipal grants. “Around Rs 25 lakhs has been spent to procure and install various gymnasium equipment including air conditioners so that people can take the maximum benefits to maintain their health and therefore it is everyone’s duty to maintain the government property like their own.” said Cabral
CCMC Chairperson Balkrishna (Pinty) Hodarkar, local councillor Dr. Jasmine Braganza, and locals were also present for the function.
