CRSC ease past Chinchinim, Canacona FA down Wilred Leisure, Tilamola Utd win

Ian scores four goals to help YWSC Assolna hit seven past UB Palolem

PANJIM: Colmorod Ratvado Sports Club (CRSC) Navelim scored an easy 5-2 win over UV Chinchinim in the Goa Football Associations U-14 League match, played at Navelim ground, on Thursday.

The Navelim side started on an attacking note and soon found the breakthrough in the 13th minute through Sheldon Gomes, who shot past the keeper to make it 1-0.

The Chinchinim side went all out and scored in the 15th minute to make it all square through Seagmond Rebello.

Both the teams restricted themselves to midfield play until Navelim Club  shot into the lead before the breather through Velon Rebello.

Post resumption, the rejuvenated home side scored two quick goals through Dylan Fernanded and Freldon Gomes in the 45th and 49th minutes respectively before Jehouzh Rodrigues narrowed the margin to keep the Chinchinim side in the contest.

The Navelim outfit however drove the final nail into the coffin through Geven Barreto in the 65th minute.

In another match, Canacona Football Academy thrashed Wilred Leisure Sports Club 5-0, at Curtorim ground.

Canacona FA started the scoring in the 27th minute through Velson Fernandes.

Post resumption, the Canacona side slotted four more goals past the helpless Wildred Leisure side as Floy Fernandes and Dickson Fernandes scored a brace each.

Elsewhere, at Quepem Sports Complex, Tilamola United Sports Club and Curtorim Gymkhana played an enthralling 3-3 draw.

Tilamola were the better side in the initial stages of the match as they grabbed every chance they got and scored three goals through Clavin Fernandes, Alister Fernandes and Rahul Pawar.

The Curtorim side regrouped and took control of the match and slotted three more goals through Venson Paes, Joel Da Costa and Aniston D'Silva.

YWSC Assolna thrashed UB Palolem 7-0 at Ambelim ground.

Ian Fernandes opened the scoring for Assolna before Joean Simoes doubled the lead at the half-hour mark to give his side a two goal lead at the break.

Crossing ends, Ian pumped in three more goals and Videsh Naik scored a brace to complete the 7-0 rout of Palolem team.
