UNJIRIM-CURTORIM: Cumborda Sports Club defeated Sporting club of Virabhat 5-0 to sail into the final of United Club of Unjirim Inter-Ward football tournament organised by United Club of Unjirim played at St Alex Curtorim Church ground on Wednesday.
Mackson Fernandes opened the scoring in the 10th minute. Later Veron Fernandes scored two back to back goals in the 24th and 29th minutes. Sam Fernandes had the last laugh as he scored their fourth and fifth goal to make it 5-0 in the 49th and 56th minutes.
Vernon Fernandes of Cumborda Sports Club was adjudged as the man-of-the-match.
