RAIA: Curtorim Gymkhana defeated St Anthony’s SC of Colva, 6-5, via the tie-breaker to enter into the quarter-finals of the St Rock Super soccer match, played at Calata Majorda ground. Both the teams were tied at 1-1 in the full session. Vicky Cardozo gave lead to Colva team while later Alroy Gomes equalised for Curtorim Gymkhana. In the ensuing tie breaker, Curtorim Gymkhana proved to be better shooters.
St Anthony SC’s Vicky Cardozo was declared man-of-the-match presented by Ramesh Lotlikar.
On Tuesday, Carmona SC defeat ed Parish Youth, Nuvem, 6-5, via the tie-breaker to enter into the quarter-finals.
Shanon Furtado gave the lead to Carmona SC in the 25th minute. Later, Niclou Colaco equalised for Parish Youth Nuvem in the 45th minute.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Carmona SC proved to be the better shooters.
Man-of-the-match award was presented to Aaron Fernandes of Carmona SC by Paul Dias.
