PANJIM: Curtorim Gymkhana beat Goa Velha SC 3-2 in the GENO First Division League organised by Goa Football Association, played at Astro Turf Fatorda, on Tuesday. 

Goa Velha SC was the first to look at goal as they opened their tally in the 39th minute through Francis Fernandes. But Curtorim Gymkhana came out with an equaliser in the 41st minute through Suraj Naik. 

They were quick enough to take the lead in the 43rd minute courtesy of Milagres Fernandes.

Post resumption, Goa Velha SC were better with the ball and came from behind to make it all square in the 70th minute as substitute Ojoy Araujo brilliantly finished a ball from his teammates to make it all square.

Minutes later, Ojoy missed yet another attempt at the goal as he received a well measured ball but the striker delayed his move.

Later, Jameson Noronha gave the Curtorim team the important goal and all three points in the 85th minute.

In another game played at Sirsaim ground, Dempo SC (jrs) had a narrow 1-0 win over A.A de Moira. Nikil Gurung scored the all important goal for the Golden Eagles in the 64th minute. 

Sachin Gawas of Dempo was the Man-of-the-Match.
