AMBELIM: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, edged past CAC Cansaulim 2-1 to enter into the semi-final of the Lourdes Cup inter village football tournament, organised by Ambelim Sports Club, at Ambelim ground, on Tuesday .
Francis Andrade of Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda was at his best while Aaron Rodrigues of CAC Cansaulim gave his best to his team.
In the second minute itself, Roque Borges of Fatorda should have netted but his power packed shot hit the rival cross bar and went out of play on the other end Elvino Fernandes long range failed to pop up into Fatorda net in the tenth minute.
It was Elvino Fernandes of Cansaulim who netted the first goal of the match in the 42nd minute.
In the second half, Fatorda coach Vincent Barbosa gave extra task to substitute Francis Andrade to manage both midfield and frontline which yielded results as Francis Andrade of Fatorda fired two quick goals in the 52nd and 72nd minutes respectively and made it 2-1 for Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda.
