RAIA: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, edged past Guardian Angel SC 5-3 via tie-breaker to move to the semi-finals of the 17th All Goa Guirdolim Panchayat Cup organised by Guirdolim Club at Chandor church sports complex ground, on Monday.
The clash between Don Bosco Oratory and Guardian Angel SC provided entertainment to a large gathering displaying end to end soccer but the game could not produce any goals. Both teams were level 0-0 at the break. Changing over, both teams were evenly matched at their tasks but could convert the opportunities came their way. The match thus ended goalless at the end of regulation time.
In the tie-breaker, Francis, Karol, Hanslum, Mario and Velton were on target for Don Bosco Oratory, while Myron, Norman and Alson were successful for Guardian Angel SC. Karol Soares, Goalkeeper of Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda was awarded the man-of-the-match by Felix D’Cunha, former goalkeeper of Guirdolim Club.
