PANJIM: Dempo Cricket Club will take on Manas Panjim Gymkhana while Salgaocar Cricket Club will clash with Alcon MCC from March 20-22 in the semi-finals of Goa Cricket Association's Goa Premier League 2022-23. The semi-finals will be palyed at GCA ground, Porvorim, and Panjim Gymkhana ground.
In the final Group B match, Alcon MCC beat Manas Panjim Gymkhana by 86 runs at GCA Academy ground, Porvorim, on the third and final day to top the group on Friday. Manas Panjim Gymkhana finished second and also made it to the last-four stage.
In the last match of Group A, Salgaocar CC got a first innings lead of 138 runs over Chowgule Sports Club, in the drawn encounter at GCA ground, Sanguem and qualified for the semi-finals being second-placed team in the group behind leaders Dempo CC.
Brief scores: Salgaocar CC (1st innings) 450 all out and (2nd innings) 70/4. Chowgule SC (1st innings) 312/9. Alcon MCC (1st innings) 179 all out and (2nd innings) 236, Manas Panjim Gymkhana 161 (1st innings), 168 (2nd innings).
