Don Bosco pip Saraswat Vidyalaya to lift MSFS Cup

ALDONA: Don Bosco, Panjim edged past Saraswat Vidyalaya, Mapusa 2-1 to emerge champions of the 8thAll Goa inter-staff 9-a-side football tournament organised by St. Thomas, at Aldona ground recently.

A total of 20 teams comprising of school, higher secondary and college staff from the various educational institutions of Goa participated in the MSFS Cup 2019 event.

In the final, Don Bosco began play on an impressive note as they dictated pace from the start and in the third minute Gautam Kankonkar opened the score. In the 11th minute, Chandan Narulakar scored the equaliser. Post resumption, Ryan Pereira scored the match-winner with an impressive flick goal.

The Principal of St. Thomas Higher Secondary School, Fr. Diago Fernandes was the chief guest while the Headmaster of St. Thomas Boys' High School, Fr. Valerian Carvalho was the guest of honour.
