BAIDA CHINCHINIM: Dovondem Veterans defeated Chinchinim Veterans and moved into the final of the 1st Our Lady of Fatima Sports Club Veterans Cup, organised by Our Lady of Fatima Sports Club, Baida- Chinchinim, at Our Lady of Hope Church ground, Chinchinim on Sunday.
In the first half, Menino Fernandes of Chinchinim Veterans took a free-kick which was pushed away for a corner kick by Dovondom Veterans goalkeeper Vikrant Sharma in the 11th minute. Bibiano Fernandes gave Dovondem Veterans the lead in the 19th minute. At Half time Donvondem lead by a goal.
In the second half, Bibiano Fernandes doubled the lead in the 28th minute.
Bibiano Fernandes scored his hat-trick in the 30th minute. Chinchinim Veterans tried to find a way back into the game but Dovondem defender Stanly Colaco stood firm to defend the clean sheet which earned him the man-of-the-match award.
