PANJIM: Dempo SC’s Dwayne Pereira Neto and Sesa FA’s Aryan Salunke have been shortlisted for U-15 Men’s National Team 2019 camp for trials by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) which will be held at Cuttack-Odisha.

Altogether 33 players have been shortlisted for the final trials.

Aryan is a Sesa Football Academy product.  It is also indicative of the resurgence of Sesa Football Academy at the national level. Aryan  believes that the time and support his parents, coaches invested in him are the reason for his selection. "I am really excited for this new  journey; I hope I make my parents, coach and the country proud someday.

“Sesa Football Academy has given me this platform to appear for the trials, the coach has mentored me throughout and I have learned a lot from him,” Aryan said.

President of Sesa Football Academy, Annanya Agarwal said "I am really happy for Aryan. The time and energy invested by the players, coaches and support staff have turned out to be really fruitful for us. We will keep nurturing players and developing football at the grass root level."

Aryan's father Dharamendra P Salunke believes that parents play a key role in shaping leaders and sportsmen for tomorrow. "I have never stopped him from chasing his dreams of becoming a footballer.

Gayatri D Salunke, mother of Aryan believes that Aryan was born to play football and succeed in it. "He is a special boy; he will do well if he stays dedicated. Initially we were worried about his studies but he asked for some time to prove himself and we allowed him. This is his big chance, we are really proud."

“I would like to congratulate Sesa FA’s Aryan and Dempo SC’s Dwayne for being selected for the National camp. This is a proud moment for us and Goan football. My only message to the boys is to give their best for the trials and get selected into the final squad and I believe they will do it,” said GFA President Churchill Alemao.

The GFA stated that they have to report at Cuttack, Odisha for the camp which will be held from February 1 to March 31. They have been asked to carry original birth certificate, Aadhaar, Student ID card and valid passport along with kit.
