PANJIM: Euronation and Sharda Mandir School emerged champions in the U-16 boys and girls respectively in the All-Goa 3X3 Basketball Tournament organised by Don Bosco Oratory in association with Goa Basketball Association, at Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim, recently.
In the U-10 girls category, the first place was bagged by Don Bosco Panjim, while the runners-up were Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda.
In the boys category, the first place was bagged by Libania Cagers A and the runners-up were of the same team Libania Cagers B.
In the U-13 boys final, Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda A were the winners, the runners-up were Sonics A and in the third place Fantastic 4 Don Bosco High School, Panjim. In the girls category, Sonics A emerged as winners, The runners-up were Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda and in the third place were Fatima Wicked Crew.
The runners-up in the U-16 boys category were Sonics A and in the third place Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda A.
The runners-up in the U-16 girls were Sonics A and the third place was bagged by Fatima Hoopers.
The basketball tournament was inaugurated by Fr Tony De Souza, wherein around 93 teams registered for the tournament in three categories.
For the prize distribution ceremony Fr Tamatur Cardozo was the chief guest and distributed medals, certificates, trophies and gift vouchers for the winning teams.
Fr Tamatur concluded with words of gratitude for the organisers and a message for the participants – To bounce back in life like the basketball.
