FC Goa, Mumbai City FC to clash in semi-finals

PANJIM: It was a good day for FC Goa and their former manager Sergio Lobera. Both needed wins to accomplish their mission and both sides – FC Goa and Mumbai City scripted historic wins on Sunday.

While FC Goa managed to hold Hyderabad FC to seal the fourth playoffs spot, Mumbai City FC scripted a 2-0 win against ATK MB, to dethrone them at the top and win the ISL League Winners Shield and AFC Champions League spot.

This also will see the clash of the old foes once again in the semi-finals. As Mumbai finished top and FC Goa fourth, the two sides will clash once again in the playoffs.

While this will be Juan Ferrando’s first playoffs, Lobera has guided two teams to AFC and have been one of the most successful managers guiding his teams in all his time in India.
