MAPUSA: Football Club of Tuem, Goa, managed to hold Pudhuvai Unicorn, Pondicherry, to a 1-1 draw, in the Indian Women's League 2 final round, organised by GFA, held at Duler stadium, here, on Monday.

In the inaugural match of the tournament, FC Tuem eves held the upper hand but Sushmita Jadhav and Pushpa Parab time and again failed to find the target. Also Unicorn keeper Laya brought some smart saves.

In the 32nd minute, Marakkadharshi scored for Pudhuvai with a neat placement, 1-0. 

When it looked the visitors were on the way to collect full points, Tuem's eves substitute Fatima Braganza scored the equaliser in the 88th minute to share point with their rivals, 1-1.

In the first evening match, Garhwal United FC had an easy outing as they trounced SAG Football Academy by 8-1 margin. 

The highlight of the match was a brilliant hat-trick from medio Sanfida Nongrum, with Raziya Khan, Shruti Kumari, Laraplang Norgrum and Mohisha Singha (2) adding their names to the scorers list. 

It was SAG eves that opened their account in the very 5th minute with Misbabanu Sindhi scoring from the penalty spot. Once Garhwal United FC got their acts together there was no looking back as they scored five in the first session and three on crossing ends.
