MARGAO: The Goa Olympic Association felicitated Digambar Kamat, Leader of Opposition, in recognition of his lifelong contribution towards promotion of sports in Goa.
Digambar Kamat, who currently holds the post of president of Goa Swimming Association and is the chief patron and a former president of Goa Badminton Association was felicitated by Shripad Naik, Union Minister and President, Goa Olympic Association.
The felicitation function was held during the GOA's Olympics Awareness and promotional campaign which is being held at locations in North and South Goa, on the sidelines of Tokyo Olympics 2020.
Gurudatta Bhakta, Secretary General, GOA, North Goa coordinators Chetan Kavlekar, Sandeep Heble and Ashwin Tombat along with State Association office bearers were also present.
