PANJIM: Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways and Tourism and President of Goa Olympic Association Shripad Naik announced Tokyo Olympics awareness and promotional programmes on Thursday.
The 17 days awareness drive includes daily live telecast of the Olympic events on big screen at Kadamba bus stand, Panjim and Agakhan Municipal Park, Margao. After the daily events there will be a felicitation of eminent sports persons at both the venues.
Four cycle rallies with cycling association and cycling clubs also planned in North Goa and South Goa districts.
Mini marathon in Ponda and mini marathon and tennis ball cricket match to take place at indoor stadium, Mapusa.
Olympic quiz for higher secondary school and college to be organised in collaboration with Rotaract Club of Mapusa and Rotary Club of Margao.
