RAIA: Geno FC defeated Sesa football Academy 2-1 in the GFA Professional League football match at SAG ground, Benaulim, on Tuesday.
Sesa’s Omkar Shergaonkar the striker and Aryan Ganesh Vaigankar the midfielder missed chances to score in the 6th and 12th minutes, respectively, on the other side Geno’s Abelson Jachi the striker and Chaitan Komarpant the striker missed chances to score too. It was Aryan Singh Chauhan the midfielder of Geno who netted the first goal of the match in the 41st minute.
In the second half, Chaitan Komarpant the striker of Geno netted the second goal in the 90th minute than in the 99+1 minute Sesa pulled a goal through substitute Joshua D’Silva the striker.
Gautam Inacio Dias the midfielder of Geno FC was awarded the man-of-the-match award.
At Nagoa Panchayat football ground, Pax of Nagoa SC defeated Panjim Footballers 5-0. Jesloy Moniz netted a hat-trick while Shubert Pereira and Royal Oliveira netted a goal each for Pax of Nagoa SC.
Jesloy c Moniz of Pax of Nagoa was awarded the man-of-the-match award.
