RAIA: Geno FC edged past Vasco SC 2-1 in the GFA’s Goa Professional League match played at Nagoa Panchayat ground, Nagoa, on Saturday.
Chaitan Komarpant opened the scoring for Geno FC in the 5th minute of the match. Later, in the 34th minute, Abhay Yadav doubled the lead for Geno FC. Just a minute left for the breather, Lalnunzama reduced the margin for Vasco SC.
In another match played at SAG ground, Benaulim, Calangute Association rallied to hold Sesa Football Academy to a 1-1 draw. Sankapl Kankonkar gave the lead to Sesa FA in the first session which was later cancelled by Andy Carneiro for Calangute Association in the last four minutes left for the final whistle.
