RAIA: Goa Selected Veterans beat Tea Court Football Association 1-0 in the finals of 50+ South Zone Super Senior Football Championship at Railway stadium, Visakhapatnam recently.
TCFA came close to scoring in the first half but Goa goalkeeper Ananth effected a good save.
The all-important goal was scored in the last minute by Socorro Azavedo.
In the league matches, Goa beat Chennai 1-0, Telangana 2-0 scored (Ramesh Virnodkar, Minglu D'Souza), Hyderabad 1-0 (Santan Furtado).
Damodar Sirsat sponsored the Goa Veterans Team.
Goa Veterans Football Association welcomed the team at the Margao Railway Station.
