PANJIM: Goa boys and girls emerged champions at the 5th mini Under-14 National Tennis Ball Cricket Championship held at Bharat Polytechnic Institute ground, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu. 

Goa boys defeated Maharashtra whereas Goa girls defeated host Tamil Nadu in the final.

In the boys final Goa won by 39 runs against Maharashtra. Saheel Parodkar top scored an ubeaten 41 while Varad Lingudkar (11) and Saish Naik (8) were the other scorers. Deep Shetye and Raj Shetye claimed two wickets each while Saheel Parodkar took 1.

In the girls final Goa scored a convincing 7-wicket win over TN. Riya Malvankar top scored 17 and claimed a wicket. Arya Parab (10 not out) and Tanisha Naik (9) were the other scorers.

The winning Goa teams received trophies and medals and merit certificates. 

With this win the Goa boys and girls has continuously won all the editions of U14 championship i.e. all 5 National championships in a row.
