Goa in sight of win

PORVORIM: Goa need five wickets against Meghalaya to win the Ranji Trophy tie as the latter trail Goa by 115 runs at the end of the third days play at the GCA Academy ground in Porvorim on Thursday.

Goa were bundled out for 463 on the third day in 143.5 over’s with Snehal Kauthankar scoring 179 in 287 balls. Snehal’s knock was the main point of focus on the third day play. Suyash Prabhudessai scored 51 whilst Darshan Misal (9), Felix Alemao (4), Heramb Parab (2) and Vijesh Prabhudesai (1) were the other scorers for Goa.

In reply, Meghalaya were on 145 for the loss of five wickets. Goa managed to claim the five Meghalaya wickets in 48 overs before stumps.

Felix Alemao and captain Amit Verma both claimed two wickets whilst Darshan Misal claimed the other.
