MARGAO: Government College, Quepem (GCQ), triumphed in the inter-college cross country race, securing first place in both the men's and women's categories, organised by Rosary College, Navelim. The race saw around 100 participants from various colleges across Goa compete in the 9 km race.
Shree Mallikarjun, Canacona, and Rosary College, Navelim, claimed the second and third places, respectively, in both the men's and women's categories.
The GCQ men's team comprised of Parasharam Ghadi, Sidhant Gaonkar, Swapnil Raikar, Yash Gaonkar, Terence Simoes, Shubham Gaonkar, Ashish Velip, and Nikhil Goankar. The women's team included Shivani Wadekar, Andrea Monteiro, Samiksha Daifode, Muskan Sharma, Ashmita Topno, Sana Arlikatti, Sanisha Velip, and Kanwiksha Rekdo.
Chief guest Shailendra Naik, Secretary of the Goa Athletic Association, awarded the trophies to the winners in the presence of principal of Rosary College, Navelim.
