CARMONA: Guirdolim Sports Club blanked Parish Youth Nuvem 2-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the John Cruz Ferrao Memorial Cup football tournament organised by Carmona Sports Club, at village panchayat ground, Carmona, on Tuesday.

 Melwyn Carvalho scored both the goals for Guirdolim SC in the 12th and 27th minutes respectively. 

Parish Youth tried hard but could not convert the chances that were created by their strikers.

 Melwyn Carvalho of Guirdolim SC was adjudged man-of-the-match.

 Guirdolim SC will now meet the winners of Maina SC, Curtorim and Navelim Villagers Union in the quarter-finals on February 25.
