VASCO: Indian midfielder Glan Martins believes that hard work and patience have been key elements to his recent success.
Glan who was welcomed by family members and fans at Dambolim airport on Thursday, after returning from National duty said, "It is important to work hard and be patient. Your time will come and you will reach the goals you have set."
The 26 year-old rose to fame after his stellar performance for the Gaurs at the AFC Champions League which earned him a his first National call. The Blue Tigers recently qualified for the next round of the Asia Cup.
"It was great and very proud feeling to play for my country. They were all tough matches but we did well as a team. We should have converted the chances which we got."
"We have to work more hard and be ready to face the new challenges which are ahead of us," he added.
